KPMG in Jamaica
KPMG's presence in Jamaica spans nearly 100 years. KPMG in Jamaica began in the early 1900’s as Tapley & Co, becoming Tapley Bowman & Co. in 1923, Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. in 1958, followed by KPMG Peat Marwick in 1987and then KPMG in 2005. The firm now has one of the largest operating resident audit and tax advisory and compliance practices in Jamaica. There are two offices in Jamaica, located in Kingston and Montego Bay. KPMG in Jamaica serves as the anchor practice of KPMG Caricom, a new regional governance entity, which comprises KPMG member firms in Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean (practicing in Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines), Trinidad and Tobago, as well as Jamaica.
